Origin
This is not a painting. This is not a provocation.
It's a photograph. A shape, a red, a vibration.
A silent offering to that which precedes all.
I hung this picture above the bed like you would hang a prayer.
A rereading of Courbet: not through the body, but through light.
Nothing anatomical, nothing figurative. Just a heartbeat inside.
A tension. An opening.
The rest of the room came around. Backed away. Respectful.
Because this work says what the walls keep silent.
I also designed the space in which it is located.
Each architectural choice extends the beat of the image.
It is a global work.
